Wynn of all Trades Facebook page
Hey guys, I haven’t promoted this in a LONG time so I figured I’d post a reminder [because I’m needy and I kind of want a reason to implement the facebook page.] that I do have a facebook page for this blog. On that page you’ll see pictures and there’s a link to the Storenvy shop that I’ve got.
I’m not trying to be pushy, but please?
I told you guys I do almost literally everything.
There’s some photos I took today- I found a way to make them not take up space on my blog. [yay!] My Flickr is HERE if you want to keep up with me, or get a better look at the pictures. :3
I’ll probably post something else later, but for now I have to run. ❤
Woven Ribbon and Jumpring necklace!; this is really cute. I almost didn’t add this, but honestly. It’s adorable. It’s easy and cute and I can picture major retailers trying to make 10 dollars apiece for each one. No bueno.
Twisted Turban Headband; This is the pink headband on the collage, and it’s really cute. Notice a change in the theme? The weather’s getting warmer, so more cute little things for spring/summer.
Anthropologie Headband redux; This. This is just way too tempting. In fact, I’m now in the market for a table for my sewing machine. And this roundup is making it seem like a NEED.
Southbay Shawlette; This link takes you to the blog of a really pretty one that’s been completed. You have to click on the link in her blog to get to the pattern [sorry]. This pattern doesn’t look too difficult. And it’s really light, perfect for the spring.
Easy DIY bracelet; this is pretty easy looking, but worth posting. Another thing I can see retailers over-pricing.
Easy Dress; I’m fairly sure I’ve posted this before, but it’s worth posting again. Because, really, who doesn’t like easy sewing with cute results. I mean, even I couldn’t mess this up. And it’s perfect for going to the beach, or just hanging out.
Here you go, guys. A new roundup of some really cute things from Pinterest. I love the spring, it enables me to get started on making really cute dresses and accessories. Good-bye chunky scarves, hello openwork and lace. :3
Well, guys, I’m at work and I was thinking about what I said earlier about putting everything I do on here. My writing, drawing, photography….Maybe even coding experiments [since I figured out what I’m going to school for]. Who knows?
Anyway, I figured I’d draw a picture for you guys as a personal Hi and thank you for following my sporadic posting schedule and giving me your support though comments, likes or simply just following my blog. It really makes me very, very happy to see when I get a new follower or I get a comment. I really, sincerely appreciate all of you. Honestly, thank you so much!
I’m a bit out of practice with my drawing, since I’ve not drawn in over a year, but there you go. It’s for you. 😀
Photoshop is a bit weird to use again, layers and blending and all that jazz. I’ve been learning the basics of drawing again with this amazing little book called “You can draw in 30 days” and it’s really fantastic. If you want to learn how to draw, I recommend it highly. There is SO MUCH you can do with cubes. Honestly. I’m kind of amazed.
Anyway, I’ll tie this up here. ❤
I’m nearly done with the hat, perhaps between fifteen and twenty rounds to go. And I have to tell you, I’m incredibly exasperated. It doesn’t look like it’ll fit my boyfriend. And not by a little, perhaps by a lot. Instead of ripping it back and starting over and I’m determined to finish this hat. I don’t know what I plan to do with it, but I know I’m going to finish it. I’m considering what to do for the future attempt, perhaps thicker yarn? Maybe make it with the loom? I have no idea.
But I am so upset about this. I’ve slowed down on the working on it, because…I don’t know. I guess I’m feeling kind of blah as of late. I’ve started drawing again, but I’m not terribly motivated. I’ve gotten a lot of books on drawing and improving photography, and I’ve gotten prepared to attend University in the fall. But, I’m still feeling kind of flat. You may see more than just crafts, you may start seeing some writing or digital drawings or even photographs, so I can feel like I’m contributing to the blog.
Really- of all trades, could mean literally all I do. And I’m pretty sure, it’s up to me to decide. However, if you have an opinion feel free to comment it below. I plan to finish this hat this weekend while I’m at work [all alone for like a cumulative 16 hours. Yikes!]. Gotta tell you folks, I am not looking forward to this weekend.
On a different note, I’m not being invisible because I’m stressed. On the contrary, they gave me medicine that’s helping with my extreme anxiety and depressive phases. So, yay! Perhaps I’ll post again this evening. :3
It’s coming along I’ve started the decreases and such, but I’m getting steadily more paranoid that it won’t fit my Beloved’s giant head [his words not mine, I assure you]. It fits over my ponytail so theoretically it should fit him. But on the other hand; what if it doesn’t? Luckily though, I’m not terribly stressed about it. I can always finish it and if it doesn’t fit him I can keep it or sell it, and make him another. So long as I can find some nice sage colored yarn.
A couple of weeks ago I went to Micheals and got some WONDERFUL yarns. I got 6 skeins a couple of duplicates in consideration of certain projects. Like this lovely barely glittery Gold Dust yarn made by Loops and Threads. I’m going to make the triangle shawl from the packaging. It’s SO pretty. I can’t stand it.
I got a couple of gradient yarns, and a couple of solids. I bought a plastic dresser and I really feel like I have to show you my yarn stash. I mean- I knew I had a lot of yarn but snap. My dresser is full, so I have to make some stuff out of the stuff I have before I can let myself buy some more. But I have no idea what I want to make aside from that shawl. Since I fell out of making stuff for a while I’m at a loss because the creative juices are kind of trickling. But I do enjoy getting back in the swing of things. Working one that has almost woken me up. 😀
I may post a picture when I get home from work. I’m unsure how I’m going to make this hat work. In the pattern it says to skip every fourth stitch and then DC around for like 5 and then it says something like “do what you want now just make sure you keep skipping stitches at certain points…” I just did the row where I’m supposed to skip every fifth stitch. I’m considering elongated the hat more. But I’m not sure. This is my first hat and I’m impressed with the way it’s shaping up. Actually, I think I may rip back the decreasing row and do a few more DC rows, where it’s at now it may squeeze his head too much.
ugh- I have no idea. I guess I’ll make him try it on again when I get home. xD
Above is what I have done of the link hat. The band is actually the updated progress. Why? because when I got it to the point in the photo where it’s standing up, the row of DC at the top made it horribly inflexible. It wouldn’t fit me so I know for a fact it wouldn’t fit my beloved. So I ripped it back.
And I had to start on the band again. I’m thinking maybe 24 instead of 18 inches. I learned how to add on to rows that have already been fastened off. So that was cool. It’s just REALLY disappointing because I thought I was making some real headway.
Ah well. I’m proud the added rows because you can’t tell. Success? I’ll start working on it more tomorrow. That’s totally enough for tonight.
